Day 1: Arrive at Victoria Falls and transfer to Old Drift Lodge (3 nights)

On arrival in Victoria Falls you will be met and transferred to Old Drift Lodge - about a 45 minutes drive.

Old Drift Lodge is ideally situated within the pristine Zambezi National Park, upstream of the iconic Victoria Falls, on the banks of the Zambezi River.

On arrival settle into your luxury accommodation and familiarize yourself with your home for the next three nights.

Day 2 & 3: Explore Zambezi National Park

During the next two days you will have many opportunities to enjoy a wide array of wildlife.

Old Drift Lodge is a wildlife paradise and often frequented by elephant, buffalo, herds of sable, eland, zebra, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and impala.

The activities offered emphasize the rich natural environment, focusing on the abundance of wildlife that roam through the Park and swim beneath the surface of the Zambezi. The Park can be explored on a 4 x 4 game drive, a river safari and walking safari. A guided tour of the Victoria Falls is also part of the many activities on offer at Old Drift Lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Victoria Falls Airport, light aircraft charter to Somalisa Camp (3night)

After breakfast transfer back to Victoria Falls Airport in time to board your light aircraft charter to Somalisa Camp.

Somalisa Camp is located in a remote area of the Hwange National Park, tucked away under the dappled shade of an Acacia grove, along the edge of an ancient seasonal floodplain.

Hwange National Park is a land of contrasts from dense teak and acacia forest to vast open savannah, offering guests an exhibition of raw and diverse Africa.

Arrive at Somalisa Camp in time for an afternoon game activity followed by a hearty dinner back at the camp.

Day 5 & 6: Explore Hwange National Park  

Somalisa Camp offers great luxury at comparatively low prices. Apart from its pristine and wild bush setting, the elegant rooms, and the excellent service, you will be able to enjoy some of the best guiding and superb game viewing in Africa.

Over the next two days you will have the pleasure of enjoying morning and afternoon game activities such as game drives, walking safaris and cultural excursions to the local village.

Alternatively you may opt to simply stay at the camp and relax while you allow the animals to come to you! The waterhole in front of camp is a particular highlight here, attracting a large variety of wildlife.

Day 7: Light aircraft charter to Victoria Falls Airport, road transfer to Kasane, light aircraft to Splash Camp (3 nights)

After a hearty breakfast it is time to start your journey to your next destination - the Okavango Delta.

Transfer back by light aircraft charter to Victoria Falls Airport where you will be met and transferred by road to Kasane in order to cross the boarder from Zimbabwe into Botswana. After the boarder crossing another light aircraft charter will transfer you from Kasane to Splash Camp.

Splash Camp is situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the private Kwara Reserve, sharing a 30km water boundary with the famous Moremi Game Reserve.

Arrive at Splash Camp and check into one of the camp’s tented en-suite accommodations. Freshen up after your journey and enjoy your first game activity here.

Another long and exciting day in Africa comes to an end as you enjoy a delicious dinner back at the camp.

Day 8 & 9: Explore the wilderness surrounding Splash Camp

Splash Camp’s unique location boasts both permanent water and seasonal flood plains as well as extensive dry bush wilderness. Favoured by labyrinths of permanent water channels and secret islands this area offers the perfect delta experience, and is considered to be amongst the best in Botswana for game viewing and activities.

In the course of the next two days explore the area that surrounds Splash camp and enjoy the adventure of morning and afternoon game drives, mokoro excursions, boat cruises, seasonal fishing, and walking safaris.

Game drives may be conducted off road and at night as Splash Camp is located within a private reserve, which in turn increases the chances of predator and nocturnal wildlife sightings.

Should you wish to take it a bit slower simply opt to relax in your room or alongside the camp’s plunge pool.

Day 10: Light aircraft charter from Splash Camp to Maun Airport

Today you bid farewell to Splash Camp, the Okavango Delta, and the African bush.

Depending on your flight schedule you may be able to enjoy one last game activity before you board your light aircraft charter transfer to Maun Airport for your onward journey.
