Quick update on the 2021 Okavango Delta floods

Just a quick update on the current situation of the 2021 Okavango Delta floods:
 
Up to this point Botswana has had the best rainy season since 2000 – some areas have already received over 1200mm which is basically three times the average rainfall of 425mm. With rainfall forecast to continue this current pattern showing no signs of stopping.
 
However, due to low rainfall in the Angola catchment area the flood readings from Rundu in Namibia show that the flood for 2021 is indeed VERY low – lower even than the shocking low 2018/19 season.
