Evolve Back Gham Dhao Lodge
Evolve Back Gham Dhao Lodge: Our View
Evolve Back Gham Dhao Lodge, formerly known as Haina Kalahari Lodge, is located north east of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve on an 11.000 ha private wildlife conservancy. The lodge offers the real African safari experienced in semi arid, pristine Bush land and open savannah.
The main Boma consists of a lounge, dining room, a swimming pool, sun deck and a well-appointed bar area. Next to the main Boma is a waterhole where wildlife comes to drink throughout the day.
The lodge has five luxury, three super luxury "superior" tents and one family tent, raised on wooden teak platforms, with en suite bathrooms and showers. The Tents provide tea & coffee making facilities, safes, mosquito nets, gowns, fragrant cotton percale linen with beautiful covers, duvets and ‘made-in-Africa’ furnishings.
Evolve Back Gham Dhao Lodge is located in close proximity to the ancient lands of the Bushmen who inhabited the area about 6 000 years ago. The area is home to a group of Bushmen, who are free to continue their nomadic life. They will share with you how they go about their daily lives, how they search for roots and plants to live on and how to make a fire and do a rain dance. Other activities on offer are game drives during the day and night on the concession, guided walking safaris, quad bike trips (at extra cost), as well as day trips into the Central Kalahari Game reserve and to Deception Valley. For guests who would like to stay longer, Evolve Back Gham Dhao Lodge also offers camping for a few nights in the Kalahari in a pre erected fly camp.
