Inyati Game Lodge

Inyati Game Lodge: Our View
Inyati Game Lodge is located in the western sector of the world famous Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, which borders the Kruger National Park. It enjoys a superb location overlooking the Sand River, with access to some of the best game viewing in Africa.
With only 11 chalets, Inyati Game Lodge offers a very intimate and personal experience. Most of the lodges in Sabi Sands are high end luxury, and very expensive. Inyati Game Lodge is one of the few more affordable lodges in the reserve but still offers high quality accommodation, and superb guiding and service, which makes it fantastic value.
Inyati Game Lodge is definitely one of our favourite options in the Sabi Sands Reserve. Accommodation and facilities are more than comfortable enough for most clients, the game viewing and guiding is excellent, and the prices are more reasonable than most other options in this prestigious reserve!

Inyati Game Lodge: The Details
The 11 chalets at Inyati Game Lodge include 3 larger family chalets and 8 twin or double bed chalets. They are very spacious, and extremely comfortable and well equipped. The chalets are constructed of stone and timber with thatched roofs and sliding glass doors at the front. A covered verandah provides the perfect place to relax in the shade. All rooms have air conditioning and an overhead ceiling fan, mosquito nets around the beds, fridge with mini bar, internet access, telephone, safe and tea/coffee making facilities.
The large lounge and dining area provides plenty of places to relax, either under cover, or out in the open on the deck with views of the river. There is a large boma area which is the perfect place for al fresco dining, and a spacious swimming pool and small gym. The food at Inyati Game Lodge is very good indeed! The lodge also has its own wine cellar.
It is the game viewing though that is the real highlight at Inyati Game Lodge. Sabi Sands Reserve is famous for offering a wild and authentic safari experience with very reliable sightings. There are no fences in Sabi Sands or with the Kruger National Park, and animals are able to roam freely between the two reserves, so we never like to offer guarantees. But Sabi Sands is one of the few places in Africa where you are very likely to see the Big 5 in a game drive. The reserve is especially famous for its leopards, and you are almost certain to see these beautiful and elusive big cats during your stay. In addition there is a an abundance of plains game and other predators, including varied antelope species, hyena, giraffe, and zebra. Unlike the main Kruger National Park which suffers from severe overcrowding in some areas, a safari at Inyati Game Lodge is very exclusive. Only Inyati Game Lodge has access to their reserve and you will never have more than 3-4 vehicles at a sighting. Morning and afternoon game drives are conducted in custom built fully open game vehicles with a highly qualified driver/guide and a tracker who sits in a seat at the very front of the vehicle. Guided bush walks are possible, and you can also book cultural village tours which can be done in between the game drives. There is a small additional cost for these two activities.
