Cornerstone Guesthouse
Cornerstone Guesthouse: Our View
Our first impression of Cornerstone Guesthouse was one of charm and tranquillity. This is true of much of Namibia, but that impression was particularly noticeable here. Our welcome at the front desk was warm and professional, yet unhurried and personal.
From the front desk, the Cornerstone Guesthouse space expands to their bright dining and lounge area, which is breezy and spacious. The rooms here are modern, well designed, and sparking clean. Throughout Cornerstone Guesthouse, all spaces let in the warm Namibian sun, to the extent possible.
Cornerstone Guesthouse is a small, private, peaceful bed and breakfast establishment in Swakopmund’s old town. From here it is an easy walk to the seafront and the town centre of Swakopmund. The area seemed very safe to us as we walked around. Indeed, the whole town struck us as remarkably safe to explore on foot.
Occupying a quiet corner of Swakopmund near The Marine Museum and The Old Brewery, Cornerstone Guesthouse offers the intimacy of a family-run B&B combined with the modern amenities of a luxury hotel.
Within a few minutes from Cornerstone Guesthouse, you can walk to Swakopmund’s beaches, cafés, restaurants, and lively pubs. Swakopmund’s other attractions, including a variety of interesting shops and markets in the town, are within walking distance too.
Cornerstone Guesthouse also offers a self-catering apartment that is fitted to the highest standards, with modern appliances and luxury furnishings.
