The River Club: Our View 

The River Club is situated on the north banks of the Zambezi, about 20 km upstream from the Victoria Falls in Zambia in a quiet location.

The River Club is a small, super classy and intimate lodge, with a strong English flavor. The lodge sits on a steep bank, overlooking the Zambezi River and Zambezi National Park.

The eleven luxury private suites at The River Club allow for uninterrupted views of the Zambezi River. All rooms have air conditioning, fans and en-suite bathroom facilities, including a bath, shower, toilet and basin.

The main lodge building comprises of the dining room and a well stocked library and drawing room. The swimming pool is situated on the edge of a cliff overlooking the river and the curio shop is also worth a look. At extra cost there are massages available at the club.

The River Club although not being a game lodge, has the Zambezi National Park just across the river. The bird-watching here is excellent and hippos are regularly sighted along the river banks. Fishing for tiger fish is very popular here, especially during the warmer months. Trips to the Victoria Falls and boating excursions to the islands in the Zambezi River are a great way of spending the day. Sundowner cruises and visits to the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park for white rhino and other game are offered daily.

The River Club: The Details

For an additional cost, the Victoria Falls area has opportunities for many other activities including helicopter flights over the falls, white-water rafting, river surfing, rappelling, bungee jumping, parachuting, microlight flights, horseback riding and half day elephant interaction, clay pigeon shooting and canoeing.

The River Club is booked on an all inclusive basis with accommodation, meals and drinks (no premium brands) and lodge included activities. Children over the age of 6 are welcome here on request.
