Kigelia Ruaha Camp: Our View

This charming and intimate eco camp, situated in the South Eastern part of Ruaha National Park, blends in beautifully with its surroundings, and is intended to have a minimal environmental impact upon the surrounding area. 

Kigelia Ruaha Camp is a rustic tented camp which derives its name from the grove of sausage trees, Kigelia Africana, that grow where the Camp is situated. The large, comfortable tents are well furnished, with locally crafted pale wood furniture and hot Safari-style bucket showers. The showers are en-suite but outdoors. The toilets are flush toilets as opposed to the ubiquitous chemical toilets sometimes found in rustic tented Camps. One of the tents is a family tent which has two adjoining en-suite bedrooms. 

Kigelia Ruaha Camp is a well-designed, rustic, comfortable Camp perfectly located for game viewing within the Ruaha National Park.

Kigelia Ruaha Camp: The Details 

The activities offered at this Camp include game drives, walking safaris, and birding. Meals can be served out in the bush. The guiding is excellent and the vehicles are specially designed for your comfort.

The communal area consists of a simple thatched structure with a few sofas and coffee tables. At mealtimes a big teak table and dining chairs are brought out.

The Safari tents are spacious and in typical Meru style, with huge, comfortable beds - perfect for a good night’s sleep.
