Deteema Springs: Our View

Deteema Springs is a new small private camp located in the north-west of Hwange National Park near the Deteema Dam. As the name suggests Deteema overlooks a series of natural springs that provide a much needed year-round natural source of freshwater to the vast numbers of elephant and other wildlife that frequent the area. The camp is elevated on a rocky outcrop providing views from your deck directly down onto the water seeps so you can literally game watch from your patio!

Deteema Springs offers a very well priced Hwange option in the luxury safari bracket. Their attention to detail and guest comfort combined with a high level of guiding is exceptional. The northern part of Hwange is extremely game-rich, and Deteema’s location is equally perfect if you simply want to relax and do an armchair safari!

You can expect to see huge herds of elephant, buffalo, plenty of plains game, lion, leopard, wild dog, hyena and even cheetah.
