Sango Camp

Sango Camp: Our View
Sango is amongst our favourite camps in the Okavango Delta, with great game viewing all year around. For clients who are on a relative budget but still wanting an excellent safari experience it really is a top choice!
The tented rooms are reasonably spacious and when we visited recently looked smart and well maintained. The tents are quite simple but perfectly comfortable and really do have everything you need with en suite facilities. We do find that they are set quite close to each other compared to other camps, but this is really only a small negative considering how reasonably priced it is. The camp also has a lovely plunge pool and viewing hide overlooking the Khwai river- facilities which are unusual to find in a Delta Camp at this price level.
As an added bonus it is also possible to do village visits to the nearby Khwai village which adds a cultural dimension not often found on safaris in Botswana.

Sango Camp: The Details
Sango Camp is one of the most reasonable priced camps in the Okavango Delta. And yet it still delivers a surprisingly high quality safari experience. From a price-value and game viewing point of view, Sango Camp really is hard to beat! Being located in the private Khwai concession, visiting Sango Camp allows you to go off-road during game drives and also enjoy night drives to follow nocturnal animals. The game viewing in the Khwai Concession and also the Khwai area of the Moremi Game Reserve nearby is amongst the best in the Okavango Delta.
It should be noted though that there are several other lodges in the Khwai concession and it is also open to the public. So you will encounter more vehicles on game drives compared to other private concession camps. In addition to the game drives, Sango is also able to offer mokoro excursions at certain times of the year. So this really is a fantastic all round safari camp.
