Tlouwana Camp

Tlouwana Camp: Our View
Tlouwana Camp is a lovely and fairly new owner managed tented camp located in the Lesoma Valley, outside of Kasane overlooking the Zimbabwe border to the east. The drive time from the airport/Chobe Park gate/Kasane is between 30 and 45 minutes through the Chobe Forest Reserve.
We have met guests in the Okavango Delta - where the safari standards are very high - who preferred Tlouwana over the Okavango Delta Camps they were visiting!
Tlouwana Camp comprises of eight twin/double tented en suite rooms plus one family tent all positioned on raised decks. Enjoy the comfortable bar/lounge area, open dining area, swimming pool and a raised game viewing platform overlooking the water hole which is located just outside the electric perimeter game fence. This makes it a wonderful destination for families as the camp is safely fenced off from roaming wildlife.
The entire property is also wheelchair friendly and tent 1 is fitted to accommodate wheelchair users.
The furnishings and décor are wonderfully tasteful, bright and contemporary, and each room is fitted with an air-conditioner unit, which is a much appreciated addition in the hot summer months. The gardens are delightful, creating a wonderful cool fresh oasis in the valley. Wifi is available in the main area only if people need to connect.
The food is excellent, and consists of many fresh organic vegetables and salads grown on site by the owners, and all dietary requirements including vegans are happily catered for. A traditional braai (barbeque) evening is held every couple of days, with meats and vegetables being cooked on an open fire in front of the guests.
Activities include game drives and boat cruises in Chobe National Park, and guests can choose to do a full day game drive with boat cruise and picnic lunch, to cut down on the 30 minute transfer each way to the park.
The lodge can be accessed by 4x4 self-drivers and is booked on a fully inclusive basis, including all meals, drinks and game viewing activities. Additional complimentary activities include a bicycle tour to the local village and night drives in the Lesoma valley/Chobe Forest Reserve. Return transfers from the Zimbabwe/Zambian borders and the Kasane airport are free of charge. A guided day trip to Victoria Falls is also offered for guests staying 3 or more nights.
