Nkosi Guests Lodge: Our View

Nkosi Guest Lodge Victoria Falls is the newest of the Bayete Collection, consisting of Bayete and Phezulu Guest Lodges.  It opened in 2022 and is in the same residential area, just a short 5-minute drive to the entrance of Victoria Falls National Park, and 20 kms from the Victoria Falls Airport.  

Nkosi Guest Lodge is a 24 roomed property set in very well-manicured gardens.  We found this lodge to have modern, fresh and clean lines on entry and within all main areas, with an interesting sprinkling of modest and quirky art and furniture present. The overall feel was relaxed and welcoming.

Walking into Nkosi Guest Lodge, you are immediately drawn to the large pool area set amongst towering trees and greenery. And the intimate “old school” wooden bar is very inviting for refreshments while relaxing and catching some morning or afternoon sun.

The rooms are very spacious with a 'less' rather than 'more' approach to the furniture and décor.  This has a lovely cooling effect in the summer, yet with warm colours, parquet floors and rugs and blankets for those cooler winter nights.

Nkosi Guest Lodge really endeavours to cater to any family dynamic.  They have an array of different room categories, cleverly positioned in the best suited area of the gardens (dependent on your requests).

The room rate at Nkosi Guest Lodge includes a full English breakfast served in the dining hall, as well as a light lunch offering. Dinner is available if pre-arranged with the top-class chef's and the staff are also more than happy to recommend local dinner venues according to your tastes.

The rooms are spacious with both couples taken into account as well as families and include showers as well as bathtubs. Nkosi Guest Lodge really welcomes all family dynamics with open arms.  Built for the modern eye, this is not a colonial lodge but a new era in both decor and feel so please keep this in mind. The staff are young and energetic.  Nothing is too small for their agenda.  In our opinion, Nkosi Guest Lodge is an overall fantastic understated 4-star guest lodge with a 5 star feel.
